The Comic Art Awards of Australia (formerly known as the Ledger Awards) is to acknowledge excellence in Australian comic art and publishing. These nominations and awards are for work published in the calendar year, January 1 to December 31 2022.
It is worth noting that the Comic Arts Awards of Australia is a fully independent initiative. The entries are made by the public on their website with the final shortlist finalised by the judges.

A huge congratulations to the 29 projects and their creators that made the shortlist. From a Phantom perspective the following creators with Phantom credits were nominated: Kieran Jack, Paul Mason, Amanda Bacchi, James Brouwer, Lauren Marshall, Jamie Johnson, Dean Rankine, Tim McEwen, Brenton McKenna, Gary Chaloner and Nicola Scott. We wish them all the best.
Along with these creator nominations, there was also a Phantom comic nominated which was Frew issue #1925 featuring the story "Until The Final Bell: Requiem For A Masked Heavyweight" written and illustrated by Paul Mason, with edits by Amanda Bacchi and Glenn Ford.
Gold, Silver and Bronze Award recipients from this shortlist will be announced at an Awards Ceremony on 15 September in Adelaide.
