Italy has a rich history with the Phantom publishing Phantom comics before countries like USA, Australia and Sweden. On top of this they have a rich history of quality creators producing many stories that have left an ever lasting impact on Phantom phans from around the world.
Italian publisher Editoriale Cosmo will be producing a new mini series to celebrate these Italian creators and their Phantom legacy. No word yet on how many issues will be published but we can confirm they will be including stories created by Angelo Todaro and perhaps other Italian Phantom creators like Felmang. We believe that the stories will be reprints that first appeared in the Frew and Egmont comics.
These comics will be 192 pages and printed in black and white and sold for 8,90€ ($15Au, $10US, 100 sek/nok and 850 INR).
It is worth pointing out that at this stage there is no publication date and some pre order information found online and in preview magazines may be wrong. Below is one example which states that Felmang's stories will be presented but a social post by Editoriale Cosmo hints that at least the first comic will feature stories created by Angelo Todaro.
Either way it is good to see new Phantom comics published again in Italy. On top of this new series is the recent Sy Barry Daily story reprint series which started in April 2024 - read about that release here.
