Bernd Frenz is one of the recent new Fantomen writers and since his first story being published in Fantomen 6-7/2022, he currently has four stories published by Fantomen. Up until now none of these stories have been published outside Sweden including his native Germany and or Frew Australia.
German publisher Zack Edition has released news of a series publishing his stories with the first album due to come out in November 2024. These albums will sell for 16,00€ plus shipping ($30AU, $20USD, 200sek/nok and 1,500INR).
Zack Edition is a German magazine that has been around since the 1970's with over 300 issues being released. In edition 282, they had an interview with Bernd Frenz.
These albums are going to be printed in color and in A4 format (29.5 x 22 x 0.4 cm), with 56 pages and a softcover similar to the Fantomen softcover albums.
The covers will feature original Fantomen covers. For example the cover to the right was from Fantomen 13/2024 by Janusz Ordan. This cover is a WIP cover and may change with approval still to come by King Features Syndicate.
Phantom Zack Album #1 will include stories from Fantomen 13/2023 and Fantomen 09/2024.

From November 2024, the Phantom Comics, which the German author Bernd Frenz writes for the Swedish magazine Fantomen, will be published by ZACK Edition. The first album contains two adventures drawn by artist Janusz Ordon, who also contributed the album's cover motif. The title story, "The Vanished Base Jumpers" [Editors Note: Translated Swedish title is "Captured from Above"] , is about the case of some missing extreme athletes, in which The Phantom and his wife Diana Palmer-Walker investigate undercover together. The second story, "Dangerous Waters", on the other hand, offers strong diving action in which the masked hero has to deal with state-of-the-art military underwater drones.
