Great news following the announcement back in May 2024 the 2024 Fantomet (Norway) album will be out 8th November 2024.
Cover art is Sam Klein who has beautifully captured the elements of the recent Wreck and Ruin storyline in the album cover.
Egmont Norway has published a Fantomet-årshefte (annual) the three last years. The format has been in landscape format and 62 pages which is what we have been told, a standard Norwegian format.
The exciting news is that this years the editors and Egmont are trying something new.
The 2024 annual will be a mammoth 150 pages in size in a A4 portrait format with four daily strips per pages and a tabloid format for the Sunday stories.
The stories are a mixture of new Daily newspaper adventures and two classic newspaper stories. It is important to note that all these stories have not previously been published in a comic in Norway before.
The stories are:
"To Wrack and Ruin at Gravelines" by Tony DePaul and Mike Manley
"The Chronicle of Old Man Mozz" by Tony DePaul and Mike Manley
"Death in the Himalayas" by Tony DePaul and Mike Manley
"Phantom's End" by Tony DePaul, Mike Manley and Scott Cohn
"The Plant God of the Massau" by Lee Falk and Wilson McCoy
"Dinosaur" by Lee Falk and Sy Barry
All stories will be printed in colour with the original KFS colours for the Daily stories and colourist Ivan Pedersen has coloured the two Sunday stories. Below is an example of the "The Plant God of the Massau" story by Lee Falk and Wilson McCoy coloured by Ivan Pedersen that will be in the album.
It is worth noting that the album cannot be shipped outside of Norway via the above link. We would suggest using a third party service like Ivan Pedersen's Facebook page who offers a service like this.
